What's Available from Club Members?
Occasionally club members may have for
sale supplies or tools of the trade, or may have puppies, young adults,
or retired adult shelties needing to be placed in approved homes as
pets. For information regarding anything available from club
members, please contact Penny Brcich at penny.brcich@diebold.com
Chicagoland Shetland Sheepdog Club, Inc. is
not responsible for the quality or integrity of any particular person,
product, adult dog or puppy advertised on this page. Though the
Chicagoland Shetland Sheepdog Club, Inc. encourages its members to operate
under the code of ethics adopted and endorsed by the American Shetland
Sheepdog Association, it is advised that, as with any transaction, and
especially in the case in which an animal's well-being may be compromised,
we encourage both the buyer and seller to ask questions that will ensure
all health concerns, guarantees, terms of payment, resemblance and
registration issues are clear and acceptable to both parties in writing,
before any transaction is completed.
It is a goal of CSSC, Inc. that all
club members breeding shelties perform and do all genetic and other tests
including, but not limited to, OFA certification for hip dysplasia, CERF
certification for eye diseases, DNA tests or genotypically clear for vWD
(bleeding disorder not unlike human hemophilia), thyroid test within
normal limits, and DNA registration with the AKC; that members place only
companion animals that have been spayed or neutered, or under contract for
spay/neuter. There may also be occasion when show-hopeful shelties might
be offered for placement, under contract terms and conditions specific to
that specific breeder, that specific sheltie, and that specific
prospective owner, at seller's discretion.
BUYER AND SELLER BOTH BEWARE
- AND BE AWARE!
Thank-you so much for your interest!
